Missed The Showhouse? Photos Here!

May 20, 2015

For those of you who couldn't make it to the Lake Forest Showhouse, we’re bringing the show house to you!

For those of you who couldn't make it to the Lake Forest Show house, we’re bringing the show house to you! We've compiled a selection of photos from our “Fashion Blogger’s Retreat” that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.  A glass of prosecco (my go-to cocktail with a dash of St. Germaine) would be a nice accompaniment!

As you can see from this angle, our office(it is so much more…) involved lots of sophistication, glam and a dash of Paris Fashion Week. It’s chic, but not fussy, typical of our LivableLuxe style. We received tons of positive feedback about the “bubble” chandelier, the whimsical deer-legged table and the glossy haute couture fashion names on the ceiling. My favorite? The quote from Coco Chanel: “Every day is a fashion show and the world is your runway.”

It’s always important with mirrors, especially when you have two over-scaled ones,to make sure they are reflecting something beautiful, as we did here.Love the beaded dress from Azeeza and the magenta dress from Maria Pinto. We hung the custom designed mirrors from the ceiling to create interest in the corners and to disguise an off-center window.

If diamonds are a girl’s best friend, gold is certainly a close second! We chose this dramatic sunburst mirror with its gold finish as a striking contrast to the bold black wall and white furnishings. And doesn't that high gloss white chest remind you of perfectly tailored drapery? We love the beautiful folds and exquisite bottom edge detailing.

This noble fellow is the grown-up version of “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” We really wanted to hang necklaces from his ears (oh, so practical) but stopped our selves as we did not want him to look foolish!

We’ll be posting all of the show house photos on our website in our portfolio section soon, but in the meantime we want to thank all the media who included our “Fashion Writer’s Retreat” in their show house coverage, including
