YesterdayMeredith interviewed Waukegan artist Drew Davis and George Oliphant of “Georgeto the Rescue” about the recent “rescue” of Drew’s home.

Amy Davis Fahey, Drew’s sister, made a “wish” several months ago on the Vieira show to have her brother’s 1920s Sears home repaired and updated, and Sweet Peas Design had the privilege of being part of the team to make that dream come true.We handled a broad range of tasks, from floor plans and space planning to selecting all the furnishings and exterior elements, and we chose and managed the local contractor and service providers.

As Iwatched from the audience I got tears in my eyes as Drew talked about how muchhe appreciated what the entire team had accomplished.

“At the reveal, Susan the designer was there,” he said, “and she was crying because she was worried that I wouldn’t like what she had done, and everything was perfect.”
