Getting all glammed up for the holidays is definitely at the top of my “favorite things” list!

Getting all glammed up for the holidays is definitely at the top of my “favorite things” list. Holiday parties are a good excuse to put on a little shimmer and shine and really have others take notice. Lace, sequins, a daring neckline and a pair of killer heels – they’re all fair game for this festive time of year. So I asked my staff to do a little party shopping online and share a few of their favorite things for holiday celebrations, and of course I had to do a little shopping myself! This Armanda tunic and leggings above would be a super addition to my holiday wardrobe for less-dressy occasions, but for a fancy party I like the Abygael outfit below - both are from Anne Fontaine, a terrific boutique on Michigan Avenue.

Senior Designer Angela LaVista - “When I saw this outfit I thought it would be perfect for a holiday party with friends – a bit of sparkle and shine for the festive touch.”

Junior Designer Lauren Benditzky - In general, the huge trends for this year are sequins, velvet, and blush pink. I would wear the top and skirt, below, with boots, heels or flats. The dress, below those, could be worn with pumps or sandals.

Studio Manager Lauren Brown - This dress would be perfect for a holiday party. t could easily be dressy with the perfect strappy heels and a clutch, or dressed-down-edgy with flat, over-the-knee boots and a classic leather jacket.

PR Manger Laura Bianchi – There’s nothing like lace and a fitted silhouette to make me feel feminine and festive. It’s a little demure, a little sexy, and the stretchy fabric makes it easy to wear, too! Just simple earrings and nude kitten sling-backs and I’d be good to go.

Thanks, ladies – now all we need are some fancy parties so we can wear these drop-dead gorgeous outfits!
